Hillel-Inclusive Jewish Community

All of us want to give our children the best possible Education in life. Hillel (The Samuel Scheck Hillel Community School/The Ben Lipson Hillel Community High School) is Jewish preschool and second largest day school community that prepares children for higher education as well as helps to develop individual character in a student. The basic foundation of Hillel Jewish education system is based on torah mishamayim. Hillel is one of the largest Jewish community day schools in the nation. Hillel provides an engaging Jewish educational experience that embraces the diversity of Jewish practice, integrates Hebrew, and responds to a child’s natural search for spiritual and intellectual growth.

Hillel education system shows how the torah is an essential guide at various stages of life at regular interval of the study. Hillel is passionate about building Jewish identity, values and community. Each student is offered the opportunity to excel in some way by exploring personal interests and abilities. Hillel is a Jewish day school, offer education programs for all students from early childhood through Eighth grade.

In Lower School, (Debra Abolafia) students are encouraged to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually in a setting that promotes individuality, enthusiasm and curiosity. Hillel’s mission is to make Jewish education available to all children who have special desires so that they can take part in the Jewish community. Middle School implements the International Baccalaureate's Middle Years Programme as a candidate school. Hillel offers a rigorous General Studies curriculum of courses in language arts, mathematics, science, history and a myriad of electives; all courses are offered at a variety of instructional levels. Hillel has very high aspirations for everyone in its school community, meaning that it expect a lot from its staff and its students and provide a broad range of learning prospect. Upper School (Tym Bonilla) adheres to the requirements established by the Florida State Legislature with the addition of specific Hillel requirements outlined in the graduation requirements.

Hillel understands that students and families approach the college application process with diverse needs and styles and, thus, highly values and practices a student-centered philosophy in this crucial transition.
